Yes. AI Citations is available through MCP and REST. A tracker is only needed when you want to repeat saved citation checks and store their history.
Exactly one query and at most one optional URL. Make another call for another query or URL.
count is the number of models that cited that source for this one query. It is not a citation frequency across a prompt index.
It echoes the supplied URL and reports cited plus citedBy. URL matching tolerates protocol and trailing-slash differences.
No. It returns the query, normalized sources, and the optional URL lookup. Use AI Search when you need the full prose answers.
