Questions about AI Citations.

AI Citations lists the pages AI models cite when they answer a question, and how many models cite each one. You can also add one of your URLs to see whether it is among them. It works across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
OpenAI does not publish the details. With web search on, ChatGPT cites pages from its search results that it used to write the answer, so the cited pages change with the question. AI Citations shows exactly which pages it cites for your question.
There is no guaranteed method, but pages that answer the exact question clearly, and that other sites reference, appear more often. Use AI Citations to see which pages are cited for your question now, improve your page to answer it better, then run the check again to see whether it is picked up.
Yes. Add one URL to a check and AI Citations reports whether any AI model cited it for that question, and which ones. Small differences like http or a trailing slash are ignored.
